Paul Ryan dismissed rape as just another form of conception

Yes, he said that.

In an on-the-record interview not long after Todd Akin falsely suggested that victims of “legitimate rape” can’t get pregnant, Paul Ryan went the full Akin and, when asked about Akin’s controversial remarks about rape, said that “the method of conception doesn’t change the definition of life”.

You can watch the interview here:

Paul Ryan is devoutly opposed to abortion rights, even in cases of rape and incest, in fact, he dismissed rape, which is an evil, traumatizing, act, as merely another form of conception. Ryan’s remarks about rape are highly offensive, in fact, they’re even more offensive than the remarks Todd Akin made about rape which caused a national political firestorm.

Also, I find it absolutely hypocritical that Republican insiders called for Todd Akin to drop out of the U.S. Senate race in Missouri, which he did not do, yet, they have not called for Paul Ryan to be removed from the Republican ticket for remarks that were more offensive to victims of rape and women in general than the remarks that Todd Akin made.

Paul Ryan’s remarks have gotten absolutely NO attention from the mainstream media, because the mainstream media is too gutless to report the truth about how extreme Paul Ryan’s anti-woman agenda is.

This guy should not have a chance of winning anything…Romney should cast him out now if he wants even a snowball’s chance in hell…

The only reason Paul Ryan even gained traction in national politics in the first place is because he’s never had to run a serious campaign for public office before. In 1998, when the 1st Congressional District of Wisconsin became an open-seat race after the previous Republican incumbent, Mark Neumann, ran for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin that year (and lost narrowly to Democrat Russ Feingold), Paul Ryan had his deep-pocketed donors clear the Republican primary field for him and Ryan then went on to win the general election by a wide margin. Only when Ryan got a committee chairmanship in the U.S. House did Democrats realize that Ryan’s congressional district is not exactly a “safe Republican” seat by any stretch of the imagination, in fact, if any congressional district in the entire country can be considered a microcosm of the entire country, it would be Ryan’s district.

Democrats seem to be finally waking up to the fact that the Republican Party is full of right-wing extremists like Paul Ryan.
